A few words about
What We Do
Programs
We work to combat poverty in Calgary by alleviating the financial burden of basic needs. With the help of our generous donations and food rescue, we are able to provide families and individuals struggling with poverty and homelessness with food, school supplies, and necessary household items. See below for general cost breakdowns and an idea of where your donations could go!
Below is a breakdown of where our donated funds may be allocated!
Food hamper for one family with supplies for a month
$100-$250 depending on donations
Hampers contain food for families including meat, vegetables, and other perishable foods, as well as other basic household needs such as toilet paper, soap, laundry detergent, dish soap, cooking oil, sugar
We can also provide grocery gift cards so families can select their own food from the donations we receive.
School supplies for children
$50-$100 per child, dependant upon grade level
Based on required materials for grade level. Can include pencils, pens, paper, binders, markers, calculators, rulers, etc.
These costs are based on cost of living in Alberta and local stores.

March food hampers donation
In March we donated food hampers to 25 families in need in Calgary. Hampers contained items that served basic nutritional needs. The rising cost of food in addition to other rising costs can act as a major stressor for families. We help to alleviate a piece of that stress by covering the costs of their groceries for a month.
