Social Media Coordinator
Description: Content creation and coordination for Better Days Foundation social media accounts. The goal will be to expand our reach using media so that we can grow our organization and help support more people through our programs.
Role:
Create original text and video content, manage posts and respond to followers.
Manage our company image in a cohesive way to achieve our marketing goals. As a Marketing Specialist, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends.
Exhibit excellent communication skills and be able to express our non profit views creatively.
Be able to handle our social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals
- Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)
- Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. instagram timeline cover, profile pictures
- Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
- Monitor website performance and social media activity (Google Analytics, Hootsuite)
Preferred Experience:
- Proven work experience as a Marketing Specialist
- Excellent copywriting skills
- Familiarity with web design
- Excellent communication skills
- Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research, Google adwords and Google Analytics

Volunteer Grant Administrator
Role:
Research and disseminate information about federal, provincial, local and private grant-funding opportunities for our local and international programs
Research, write, edit and obtain approvals for all proposals and applications submitted to current and potential funders
Monitor and track grant applications and award in database system
Edit proposals and applications for accuracy, completeness, clarity and compliance with funding
Preferred Experience:
Respond to inquiries as needed to manage grant application / proposal processes
Actively and constantly seek to improve and evolve the proposal process by engaging with appropriate parties, as required.
Develop technical documents such as generic forms and basic grant proposal
Skills:
Possess good organizational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work and coordinate multiple projects and deadlines
Skilled technical writing, proof-reading, editing, copy writing, grant writing or equivalent written communication format
Familiarity with government and academic funding opportunities
Excellent English oral and written communication skills
Understanding of Canadian funding mechanisms with likely expansion to international opportunities
Ability to demonstrate strong analytical skills
General knowledge of accounting principles and contractual agreement / administration language
